Port of Montreal

The Montreal Dispatch Centre is at the heart of activities enabling the assignment of labour at the Port of Montreal. All pertinent information required to manage the workers’ personal files are administered by the Dispatch Centre. The longshoremen and checkers may inquire about their personal file at the dispatch center or they may make themselves available for fishing for additional work.

It is at the Dispatch Centre that manpower orders are processed. Every day, Port of Montreal employers either register their orders directly into our computerized system or by phone with one of our clerks. Our dispatchers coordinate the various computerized applications permitting the dispatch of the workforce.

The Dispatch Centre also includes a Call Centre that allows employees working at the Port to obtain their next work assignment, on a daily basis.
